Jack and I spent some time virtually and really got into some great hockey talk. About playing the game, the injuries sustained and of course the Philadelphia Flyers.
Let's go into some of the questions and responses received.
Must read on FlyersInsider
FJ- "Who is your favorite player currently and of All-time?"
JR-" Ya know, my favorite player of all time, growing up in the 80s and 90s it would have to be Eric Lindros. The way he came up here. Just how physical he was with his play. He was one of the biggest guys in the league and can score from every angle".
Eric Lindros was an incredible force for a short time here. Could you imagine what would have been accomplished had he stayed healthy?
FJ: How about current player?
JR: "I am really looking forward to seeing Owen Tippet play. Ya know he was a big part of the Giroux trade. He really showed a lot of promise in a few short games he played."

FJ: "Think back, try and think back. There is always a favorite memory of the team. What would yours be?
JR: "Besides getting to the cup final and seeing that Boston game 7. It would it have to be back in 2004 when Ottawa and Flyers played with all the fights. You saw Brashear and Ray go at it. Then all hell broke loose"
Jack was in attendance for that game. Could you even imagine?
FJ: "I really want you to dive deep and let it out. A lot happened last year, what's your overview of last season as a whole?"
JR: " For the Flyers it was literally the worst-case scenario. You have like three 10 game losing streaks. The coach was fired and in comes Mike Yeo who was terrible. The team played with no heart."
FJ: "What are your expectations for next season? Is this a playoff team and how do they stay afloat?"
JR:"I think AV leaving and now the new coach Torts coming in. He's going to really help these younger guys with his crazy ways. He isn't afraid to bench the top players. If you aren't playing well, he will hold you accountable. I do see playoffs next year if everyone can stay healthy."
It was great to talk with JR. Great guy and a great fan. Stay tuned for the next portion of the competition.
