After a few days of grueling suicides and tough practices, the Flyers will host their first game of the 2022-2023 preseason against the Boston Bruins. This game will be held at the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia. The rosters have been released and table will be set. The Flyers will play mostly inexperienced players, including Tyson Foerster, Morgan Frost, Wade Allison, Ronnie Attard, Jackson Cates, Noah Cates, Tanner Laczynski, Olle Lycksell, Linus Sandin, Egor Zamula, and Hayden Hodgson.

Goalies Samuel Ersson, Felix Sandstrom, and Troy Grosenick may each play one period.
preseason.
The Boston Massacre
Like the Flyers, the Bruins are hit pretty hard with the injury bug. Guys like Brad Marchand and Charlie McAvoy will be shelved for an extended period of time. On the Flyers end, devastating news was broken when it was announced that Ryan Ellis and Sean Courtier will miss the entire 2022-2023 season. Both players had missed a lot of time in 2021-2022-heartbreaking news. With the injuries to Boston's top players, some new faces will get play and even some first timers making their debut. Johnny Beecher, forward from the Providence Bruins will make his debut. The 2019 first-round draft pick by the Bruins who plays center can also be a threat at any forward position will be trying to earn a roster spot.

All Aboard the Wade Train
After a long season last year on the shelf, Flyers forward Wade Allison will get gametime action in the first preseason game. Allison is a player who has a burning desire to make this club and probably should. He has some NHL experience with the Flyers and has done pretty well, just hasn't had enough time to become consistent. Expect big things in the first preseason game from Wade Allison as he is probably one of the more exciting players to play in this game.
The Cates brothers return
Jackson and Noah Cates will be in the lineup for tonight's game. I would be surprised if we didn't see Tyson Foerster join them. The three played quite well together in the rookie game against the New York Rangers. I imagine this top line will get some minutes and continue their success on the ice together.
