The 2009-10 Vancouver Canucks and the Arizona Coyotes will be the only teams in league history to take 14-game road trips during the NHL regular season.

Due to scheduling problems between the Coyotes and the ASU (Arizona State University) Sun Devils, there are so many consecutive away games. The Coyotes have been misplaced for the most of the NHL season thus far, with the NCAA season well underway. In fact, Arizona has travelled for 20 of its first 24 games this season. It is really unusual.
On November 5th, they left for Washington to begin a 33-day journey that will end on December 7th when they play the Edmonton Oilers.
Before returning to Mullett Arena to play the Bruins on December 9th, the squad will have travelled a total of 24,083 KM (14,964.482 Miles) in distance. These 14-game road trips will probably become a yearly event because the Coyotes will play at Mullett Arena for the foreseeable future.
