It's always interesting to watch a long-time player of a team that was traded away and see how he interacts with his former teammates. The trade was made with Florida two years ago, which sent former Flyers captain Claude Giroux to the Florida Panthers.
He then signed with the Ottawa Senators in last year's offseason, and you can tell there's always a little extra in his step when he meets his former club.
Today, the Flyers were on the road and stopped in Ottawa to face the Ottawa Senators in a matinee game at 1:00 p.m. The Senators looked dominant early on and scored two quick goals from their defenseman Jakob Chychrun.

With the game at 3-2 in the dying seconds of the second period, the Flyers attempted to storm back to tie the game when their former beloved captain stripped the puck and passed it to Brady Tkachuk, who put it past Carter Hart.
Two minutes into the third period, Giroux wasn't done as he added another primary assist after receiving the puck from Tim Stutzle and sending it over to Tkachuk again.
I still believe the Flyers should have received more for Giroux when they made the trade two years ago. I've always felt that a centerman should have been included along with Owen Tippett, as the Florida Panthers were trying to contend for a Stanley Cup.
