Goaltender Arrested After Crashing Into House and Refusing to Take Breathalyzer

Jared Picklyk, the goaltender for the Humboldt Broncos, has been suspended following his recent arrest.

According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, Picklyk was arrested at 1:25 AM on Saturday, a few hours after the Broncos defeated the Nipawin Hawks in the SJHL playoffs. He was charged for refusing to comply with police and declining to take an alcohol breath screening test after crashing his vehicle into a house.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident, and the RCMP is still investigating. It is unclear how long Picklyk's suspension will last, but given that he is in his final season of junior eligibility, it is likely his junior career is over.
Although he has not been drafted in the NHL, this incident is expected to negatively impact his prospects.
