For the past few months, there has been little doubt that rumours have been swirling regarding the impending trade of the Flyers' starting goaltender, Carter Hart. As the Flyers continue their rebuilding phase and search for talent to expedite the process, players like TK and Hart have remained in the rumour mill for quite some time.
Being a bona fide starting goaltender and approaching the final year of his contract, many speculated that he might prefer to be moved to another team where he could secure a new contract and potentially become a winner.
However, those trade rumours have failed to materialize. In a recent media scrum, Hart began to lay out his stance on the trade rumours surrounding him and where he envisions himself soon.

Hart believes that he should stay with the Flyers and is open to a contract extension with the team. He also expressed his fondness for playing in the city of Philadelphia and the support of its fan base.
"I'm pretty confident I'm going to remain a Flyer. I'm happy to be here, and I love playing for this city and organization. I'm happy to be here."
He continued that Danny Briere was a good man and a good GM.
I believe the Flyers should sign him to an extension, as he is poised to be the backbone of this team for many years to come. In his mid-20s with plenty of careers ahead of him, it's expected that he will continue to improve, especially as the Flyers' team in front of him gets better.
One of the challenges he faced last year was the defence in front of him. The team struggled to keep the puck out of their end, resulting in unfortunate goals. Nevertheless, Hart delivered several outstanding performances that deserved a better outcome.
