Obviously, the Philadelphia Flyers will not have the opportunity to draft Shane Wright as they will select 5th overall in this year's Draft in Montreal.
However, even if it isn't the case, the probable first overall pick in 2022 made an appearance on TSN to talk about the results of the lottery, and the least we can say is that he has a LOT of confidence in himself.
"It's definitely really important to me. I think based on my work and my career, I deserve to be the first overall pick. I deserve to have that honour. I believe that I am the best player in this draft and that I should be taken first overall," said Wright.
The kid has heard the scepticism some people have towards him, but he wants to prove everybody wrong. In the OHL with the Kingston Frontenacs, Wright registered 94 points in 63 games this season.
