The Philadelphia Flyers have missed out on numerous opportunities to acquire star players, and it's unclear why.
Just imagine if they had a chance to redo their draft picks and select those players they passed on before.
For instance, instead of letting Elias Petterson become one of the Vancouver Canucks' best assets, the Flyers could have drafted him with the 2nd overall pick in 2017, instead of Nolan Patrick.

Other players they overlooked in various drafts include Ryan Nugent Hopkins, Matt Barzal, and Jared McCann.
Besides, if they had chosen Carter Verhaghe, the team would currently boast a dominant and well-rounded offense with Logan Couture centering the third line.
Additionally, there were several notable defensemen that the Flyers missed out on, such as Sean Durzi in 2018, Erik Cernak in 2015, and Matt Murray, the 20th overall pick in 2012.
These are just a few examples of the players the team has missed in various drafts. Nevertheless, if they selected them, the team would be incredibly competitive and deep, in my opinion.
