The Philadelphia Flyers have undergone significant changes to address what people consider to be Chuck Fletcher's mistakes. With Tony DeAngelo and Ivan Provorov gone and Sean Couturier back on the ice, the team has a different look, and things are looking up.

Sean Courturier's return as 1C for the team means that John Tortorella will demand more from the team to keep progressing and compete soon. Cam Atkinson will also return to the squad after recovering from neck surgery.

The NHL has released a projected lineup that looks promising and suggests a deeper team.

On the Flyers' 1st line, Sean Couturier will center LW Scott Laughton and Travis Konecny. On the 2nd line, Morgan Frost will center LW Joel Farabee and up-and-comer RW Owen Tippett.
The 3rd line showcases the team's depth with Noah Cates centering LW Cam Atkinson and RW Tyson Foerster, followed by the 4th line consisting of puck retrievers Nicolas Deslauriers, Ryan Poheling, and Garnet Hathaway.
On defense, the pairs look more balanced, with Cam York and veteran Marc Staal possibly paired together as a mentoring project for Staal and to shelter the youngster.
This is followed by Travis Sanheim and Rasmus Ristolainen, with the team expecting more from Risto this year. Finally, Nick Seeler and Sean Walker form the last pair.
In goaltending, Carter Hart will continue to hold the starting spot, but Samuel Ersson, who took a big leap forward last year, might knock him out of it. Alternatively, Hart may trade as the Flyers are deep in goal.
