We're just about a month away from the NHL's trade deadline, and while teams are currently relaxing during the NHL All-Star break, the team's General Manager's are deciding what moves they need to make before the trade deadline day.

One team that's believed to be very busy is the Philadelphia Flyers. The Flyers have had a very rough season thous far sitting 7th in the Metropolitan Division. However, injures have played a big part in that with Sean Sean Couturier and Cam Atkinson out of the lineup all season.
Flyers General Manager Chuck Fletcher has already made it clear "He's open for business" when it comes to making deals with virtually everyone available. One name that's come up in trade rumors has been Flyers defenceman Ivan Provorov.

Provorov has been a hot topic after refusing to take part in the Flyers warm up during the Flyers Pride Night game vs the Anaheim Ducks. Which grew a big debate, while some supported Provorov's decision he also took a lot of criticism especially from the LGBTQ community for what some say Provorov was being "homophobic."

Many believed after this along with Provorov's speaking out against his lack of ice time previously that he would be moved by the deadline.
However, according to Philadelphia Flyers Hockey Insider Anthony DiMarco the Flyers don't look to be dealing Provorov saying:
I was told last week that they're likely hanging onto Provorov (for now) because they can't afford to part with him given the way he's playing.

They don't have an inhouse replacement to be a top pair guy long term; you can't leave York on an island.

- Anthony DiMarco

Well by the sounds of DiMarco it looks like Provorov will remain a Philadelphia Flyer at least until the off-season. But you never know if Fletcher gets an offer he can't pass up he'll likely make the trade if it's going to help the Flyers stay tuned...
