Is This The End For Jumbo Joe Thornton?

Ever since being drafted first overall by the Boston Bruins back in 1997 London Ontario's Joe Thornton has been one of the best play makers in the entire league.
However, after a 23 year career the 43 year-old is still without a contract for the upcoming season and, according to an Instagram post from his wife Tabea, he won't be returning to the Florida Panthers.
»South Florida, I loved our time together! This break-up hurts and I will miss you,» Tabea wrote on Instagram earlier this week.
As a fan of Joe Thornton since before he was in the NHL, I can't imagine the NHL season without Thornton but it sadly it looks to be the case. Last season on the Panthers fourth line Thornton had 10 points 34 games.
Let's hope there's a off-ice job for Thornton if he's indeed done playing the NHL is in a better place with Joe Thornton in it in some type of role.
