During the game against Red Wings, it was obvious that the Flyers are in desperate need of change. Sean Couturier had undergone back surgery and will be out for the rest of the season.

Both Ryan Ellis and Kevin Hayes are uncertain about possible surgeries and are still out for the time being. Ristolainen is on the sidelines with an undisclosed injury and didn't play against Detroit, along with Derrick Brassard who played one game since returning from injury but was not in shape for Saturday's game.
As if it weren't enough, Gerald Mayhew was pushed headfirst onto the board and couldn't protect himself with his hands in time. After a long time down, he exited the ice while bleeding a lot from a cut on the face. Furthermore, Travis Konecny took a puck to the mouth and was out while he was getting patched up!

While there seems to be nothing to enjoy with the Flyers this season, Isaac Ratcliffe is the only one proving Flyers fans a reason to watch the games. Against Detroit, he was omnipresent and played a big part in Yandle power play goal.
With a good performance overall, Ratcliffe brought with him creativity against the Red Wings, in the middle of a season where no one else could. With a bench filled with injuries, the key to Flyers better performances could be young Isaac.
