It wasn't a very good year if you were a Vancouver Canucks fan. The Canucks had one of their worst starts in franchise history, but would make a late season run after firing Gm Jim Benning and Head Coach Travis Green, and hired Bruce Boudreau unfortunately it wasn't enough.

One issue that seemed to carry on was the rumors that Canucks forward JT Miller wanted to be traded. This continued on to the trade deadline where hockey insiders believed Miller would be traded at the trade deadline, that didn't come to futition.
But when there's smoke there's fire and the Miller trade talks have continued. Last season JT Miller had the best season of his entire career in 80 games Miller put up 32 goals and 67 assists for 99 points.
Elliotte Friedman revealed at the draft in Montreal it was reported that the Canucks and New York Islanders were close to a deal, but for whatever reason that deal didn't pan out.

Now it appears that Miller and his agent have given the Canucks an ultimatum.
"Which is partly why there's a good chance, as Miller's agent Brian Bartlett of Bartlett Hockey told The Athletic this week, that Miller's camp opts to cut off all contract talks once the regular season commences."
Now the Canucks appear to have a deadline to sign Miller or he's likely to ask for a trade with less than 30 days before training camp begins it will be interesting to see the route the Canucks new General Manager Patrik Alvin decides to take.
