During NHL games, the announcer for the Boston Bruins, Jack Edwards, is a figure that often generates mixed reactions from fans. While some Boston supporters appreciate his enthusiasm and dedication to the team, other fans feel that he is excessively biased towards the Bruins.

On Sunday, during a game between the Bruins and the Carolina Hurricanes, Edwards caused a stir for a different reason. After Hurricanes forward Jordan Martinook was not called for a penalty, Edwards expressed disbelief, even though the video replay clearly showed that no rule violation had taken place. Adding to the confusion, Edwards was seen laughing hysterically and clapping during the replay, leading to accusations of intoxication by some hockey-related accounts on social media.
This latest incident is likely to further fuel the debate around Edwards and his suitability as the voice of the Bruins, which has been an ongoing topic of discussion among NHL fans.
Spittin Chiclets suggested Edwards should "have another bong toke."
