Joel Farabee sent a big message to his teammates after Claude Giroux's departure

Life without Claude Giroux began well for the Flyers as they won yesterday against the Islanders 2-1. After the game, Joel Farabee met with the media and talked about the importance for other guys than Claude Giroux to step up and take new responsibilities.
"With absence of G, it's something of a new era. Other guys have to step up. New responsibilities. Talked with TK about it. We want to finish strong and go into next year feeling good," said Farabee.
He's totally right, and it begins with him. Giroux recently said that Farabee will break his records with the Flyers at the end of his career. Until then, the forward has to show that these are not empty words.
With that being said, we will have a pretty good idea of the identity of the new leaders on this team this summer. Chuck Fletcher will have identify his new core by then.
