There was a poll recently we shared that had the top 10 most overated players in the NHL and Toronto Maple Leafs captain John Tavares took that number one spot. All though it means nothing to Tavares he's been heavily criticized in Toronto. Many fell he's just way to over paid and some of Leafs Nation is hoping he's traded to clear some cap space.

However, Tavares isn't paying the criticis no mind as Tavares is working hard this off-season to arrive as a leaner, stronger, and a faster version of himself when theMaple Leafs'season gets ready to roll.
"I'm always trying to tweak things and work on things as best I can,» Tavares said in a recent interview. «For me, obviously just trying to be a little quicker, a little lighter on my feet. I think that's really important . I've done some really good work there with the development staff already, and I like where things have started.»
The soon to be 32 year old Leafs captain will be heading into his 14th season Tavares had 76 points in 79 games last season. The begin there season October 12th against their biggest rival the Montreal Canadiens.
