John Tortorella has seen many different teams throughout his NHL coaching career And in various stages of competitiveness. The Flyers have tested his knowledge as a teacher and his ability to get the most out of every player. Torts gave Flyers nation a glimpse of what is to come for this franchise.
Tortorella has stated the Flyers are in a rebuild mode, where general manager Chuck Fletcher stated earlier in the off-season that they are going through an ''agressive re-tooling process'', but was clearly a lie.
As the team continues to reel in 11 losses in 12 games, many questions have surfaced as to what the Flyers will do going forward with regard to the construction of this club. Torts also had this to say

Yes, a ''re-tooling'' process means rebuilding, Tortorella has stated several times he is on board with Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher's plan, and Tortorella revealed it is certainly a rebuild upcoming.
This may be the smartest move the Flyers can do at this point, it may take a few years to rebuild but it will be worth it in the end compared to the current state of the Philadelphia Flyers.
It certainly seems that Torts has a vision for this team and how to go about reconstructing it and it will be very interesting to see how management aligns with that view.
