As Flyers fans eagerly await his arrival, many speculate whether or not John Tortorella will still be the head coach. Despite signing a four-year contract with the team in 2022, Tortorella's future is uncertain.
While he has prioritized building discipline within the organization, it remains to be seen how he will treat a skilled player like Michkov, who has primarily been offense-only his entire hockey career.
I agree, I think he's a great coach. But Michkov won't play a 200 foot game like Torts will want. Sure he'll play some defensive, but it's a completely different style of game that he plays
Regardless, Tortorella's second year must look much better than his first in order to justify his continued tenure under Briere's watchful eye.
