After being eliminated in only 5 games in the second round of the playoffs against the Edmonton Oilers, all the attention has shifted to the future of Gaudreau in Calgary.
In his last press conference of the season, Gaudreau was asked multiple times about his plans for the offseason and he said that in an ideal world, he would stay in Calgary. But we all know that it's much more complicated than that...
"That would be pretty special, to win a Cup here. Calgary is a special place for me and I do really, really love it," said Gaudreau.

With that being said, he also said that he knows that he could be with another team next year.
"You try to say goodbye to everyone because you never know what's going to happen (...) I don't know anything but Calgary. It's kind of a big decision here - I have to figure out what's best for myself first and my family," said Gaudreau.
We'll see what will happen, but one thing is for sure : it's going to be a very interesting summer...
