Kevin Hayes, the 30-year old NHL All-Star who has had some controversial arguments being thrown around his name as of late, but for no bad reasoning. Many Flyers fans believe that Kevin Hayes may not have deserved to be elected to the NHL's All-Star game, more rather Flyers forward Travis Konecny who is having a much better season should've been elected.
Both Kevin Hayes and Travis Konecny are having incredible seasons, you simply cannot differ which player has excelled better as they've both contributed greatly to the very-little success that the Flyers have had so far this season.
One thing that did stand out and differs between the two is Kevin Hayes has been through a lot throughout the last two years, Hayes lost his best friend, his brother Jimmy Hayes. Hayes' brother left behind two little ones and his wife Kristen, who have all been closer than ever to Kevin Hayes after losing their father and husband.
Kevin Hayes stated he wanted to bring Beau, Jimmy's son to the All-Star game, Kevin also mentioned that he and Jimmy would always joke around about Kevin being an All-Star, so it was an emotional moment for him to find out.
Hayes recently went into an interview with his former teammate Keith Yandle, and revealed how he found out and what the emotions were like when he realized he was going to be heading to the 2023 NHL All-Star game.
