Keith Yandle regrets signing in Philly now

It was Yandle's last stop in the NHL and he signed a $900K contract for a year with the Philadelphia Flyers to play with them for his last year in the league.

With 922 games played, Yandle was second only to Doug Jarvis as he entered Philadelphia, entering the 2021-2022 NHL season. It was the eve of Yandle's Iron Man streak, headed into the season.

In the end, Yandle was a healthy scratch in 989 games played by Mike Yeo, and his stint in Philadelphia would prove to be a cautionary tale for him as he eventually became a healthy scratch. As a result of the 2022 season, in September of that year, he retired from the NHL, just shy of the record set by Phil Kessel.
In an interview on the Empty Netters podcast, Yandle mentioned he regrets signing in Philadelphia since he has been offered opportunities to play in Boston twice now and passed them up both times, landing with the New York Rangers first, and then the Philadelphia Flyers later.
It would have been nice if Yandle had signed in Boston at this point in his life, but the decision had already been made.
