In a recent interview at the end of the season, Philadelphia Flyers forward Kevin Hayes made it clear that he expects to be traded away from the team this off-season. Hayes stated that he believes a decision on his future has already been made, but he must wait until this summer to find out.

Hayes' statements were not surprising given his lackluster performance this season, combined with his high salary. When asked about his potential trade, Hayes responded, "I don't think they want a guy making my money playing 9/10 minutes a night."
Hayes also suggested that he would be better suited for a contending team, hinting that he may be seeking a fresh start. "I'm sure their decision's already been made. I'll probably find out around the draft," Hayes said.
It remains to be seen where Hayes will end up next season, but it seems likely that he will be traded away from the Flyers.
Kevin Hayes: «I don't think they want a guy making my money playing 9/10 minutes a night. I'm sure a decision has already been made, and I'll find out closer to the draft. «

"Like you said, I'm 31. I picked up the message that was sent months ago," Kevin Hayes said when asked about if he thinks he'd be better suited for a contending team. "I'm sure their decision's already been made. I'll probably find out around the draft."
