Last night, the Flyers fell victim to a 4-1 loss to the Capitals, but it was just 2-1 with two-minutes left in the game. That was before Ovi hit on two empty net goals a little over a minute apart from each other.

The first empty net goal was fine, but Flyers' forward, Travis Konecny, took offense to the manner in which Ovi score the second goal.
As you can see, Konecny went to Ovi and gave him a slash on the legs to let him know he didn't approve of the slow-mo empty net goal.

Following the game, Konecny was asked about the situation, in which he responded, "I mean, it might of not have looked as bad, I just didn't like I personally thought that he deked it and put it on his backhand, but maybe it wasn't as bad as I thought."
I personally understand why Konecny was bothered by Ovi taking his time to score the goal.
Ovechkin is just 99 goals away from Gretzky's record of 894 in a career. So, maybe he just wanted to make sure that the puck found the back of the net by skating right to the crease.
