With the trade deadline approaching on March 21, many teams have been curious about the future of Flyers forward Travis Konecny. With the recent trade of Tyler Toffoli to the Calgary flame setting the bar for this year's deadline, GM Chuck Fletcher must be wondering what he can get for Konecny.

Tyler Toffoli was traded to the Calgary Flames for a 2022 first round pick (top-10 protected), a 2024 fifth round pick, Tyler Pitlick and prospect Emil Heineman. Toffoli had 9 goals and 17 assists in 39 games with the Habs before being dealt on Feb 14.
If a 29-year-old top-six winger with three years left at 4.25 million could bring that kind of assets, what could the Flyers get in return for Konecny?
«One Flyers player to keep an eye on is Travis Konecny. Was almost traded during the offseason & is once available again ahead of deadline. With the recent trade of Tyler Toffoli, PHI sees the value to what a potential return could be for Konecny», says Brandon Sommermann of The Brotherly Bullies.

Konecny, 24, is signed at $5.5 million until the 2024-2025 season. With only 8 goals in 49 games this season, Konecny is on a down year but from 2017-18 to 2019-20, he had three consecutive 24-goal seasons.
I would compare Konecny to a mix between Andrew Shaw and Tyler Toffoli, both former Habs. Konecny is more skilled than both and has the grit but lacks the Stanley Cup pedigree that Toffoli has. If a team still believes in his upside, he could even fetch more than Toffoli did this offseason.
