Former Philadelphia Flyer Nicolas Aube-Kubel received a game misconduct for an illegal check to the head on Lightning defensemen Cal Foote in the second period of Friday nights Lighting vs Capitals game. While the play was under review, a brawl broke out, as Hathaway and Maroon dropped the gloves.

A game-misconduct penalty earned the former Flyer a hearing with the NHL department of player safety committee the next day.
