The Philadelphia Flyers are no where near a playoff team right now unfortunately. But that always wasn't the case.
Back in 2010 The Flyers would go on a magical run. The Flyers were the 7th seed team in the Eastern Conference going into the playoffs, but would stun the 2nd seed New Jersey Devils knocking them out in five games.
The Flyers would then will a battle vs the Boston Bruins beating them in seven games to make it to the Eastern Conference Finals.
They would then meet the Cinderella team of the Playoffs the 8th seed Montreal Canadiens. The Canadiens were the last place team to make the playoffs and would stun the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins thanks to the goaltending of Jaroslav Halak.

However Halak and the Canadiens ran out of gas of the much bigger Philadelphia Flyers team. The Flyers would move on to the Stanley Cul final vs the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Blackhawks were the favorites knocking out Nashville, Vancouver, and San Jose to make it to the final. Unfortunately for the Flyers the Blackhawks were to much led by Johnathan Toews, and Patrick Kane.
The Flyers would try there best forcing the series to go six games but with the scored tied 3-3 in overtime of game six Patrick Kane would put a dagger into the hearts of Flyers fans scoring the Stanley Cup winning goal.
