Sad news today, Maple Leafs 2020 first round pick, Rodion Amirov has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. The young Russian who is just 20 years old suffered an injury at the beginning of the KHL season in which he plays for Salavat Ufa. He developed some other symptoms during his recovery that led to a more thorough investigation of his medical condition.

Currently, Amirov is undergoing treatment in a German medical facility and will not be playing hockey for the rest of this season.
The Toronto Maple Leafs GM Kyle Dubas stated that the medical staff has been, and still is in direct contact with Amirov's team to overlook all the medical procedures. Dubas insists that the Leafs organization will do everything they can to ensure that their young prospect receives the best care and hopefully beat his brain tumour.
Let's hope to see young Rodion back on the ice, healthy and well, as soon as possible.
