The NHL got hit with some very bad news just before the draft in Montreal. When former NHL'er Bryan Marchment passed away.

Marchment was one of the toughest dudes to ever play the game, he could hurt you on the scoreboard or with his fists. Marchment traveled to Montreal as a scout with the San Jose Sharks.
Marchment's name will live on in the NHL as his son is also in the NHL, Mason Marchment who was a Florida Panther, would sign a four year deal with the Dallas Stars.
Marchment would honor his father the best way he knows how by taking his father's number #27 in memory of his dad. I'm not crying, your crying.
