In a recent development in the tragic incident involving the untimely demise of ice hockey player Adam Johnson, an update reveals that Matt Petgrave, the individual taken into custody on suspicion of manslaughter, has been released on bail. As of now, no charges have been brought against Petgrave.

The unfortunate incident occurred during a match against the Sheffield Steelers on October 28, where Johnson suffered a fatal neck injury when accidentally cut by an opponent's skate, identified as Matt Petgrave. Despite immediate medical attention, Johnson was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, with a post-mortem examination confirming the severe neck injury as the cause of death.
While the police have not officially named Petgrave, strong indications suggest his involvement. The suspect was apprehended on Tuesday and has been released on bail, pending further investigation.
