Matvei Michkov Makes a Major Transition in His Game
Philadelphia Flyers' highly-touted prospect, Matvei Michkov, is making a significant move by transitioning from the wing to the center position this season, as mutually decided by the player and head coach, Roman Rotenberg, as reported by Hockey News Hub.
The 18-year-old showcased his potential during the preseason game, creating buzz since being drafted 7th overall in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. Last year, Michkov impressed with 10 goals and 14 points in 12 games in the VHL and contributed 9 goals and 20 points in 27 KHL games with HK Sochi.
