KHL officials have done something nobody expected, according to recent reports. It seemed like the league would not relent after the Ivan Fedotov contract debacle.
Sergei Ivanov, a recent Columbus Blue Jackets draft pick, has now had his contract terminated by the KHL. In 2023, the Jackets drafted Ivanov 138th overall in the 5th round.
Per the #KHL, SKA has terminated the contract of #CBJ prospect Sergei Ivanov and he signs a new two-year contract with them which runs till the end of the 2024-25 season.
It was reported earlier that he'll join Admiral on loan.
