It was during Alex Galchenyuk's signing process in Arizona in July that he got arrested, which was then followed by his sudden release, that he used the NHL Player Assistance program to get himself help.

BREAKING NEWS‼️
Alex Galchenyuk has signed a two-year deal with SKA. #KHL
In spite of that, Galchenyuk was unable to land a contract with any NHL team, after the incident where he threatened to attack a police officer and used a racial slur at the same time.

SKA St. Petersburg confirmed the signing of Alex Galchenyuk to a two-year deal today:
The Arizona Coyotes have placed forward Alex Galchenyuk on unconditional waivers for purposes of terminating his contract. The Club will have no further comment at this time.
That seems to be the case, since it appears that the toxic player has since landed a contract back in Russia, which may indicate that this may be the case.
As he will be sharing the same team as our own Matvei Michkov, hopefully that doesn't mean that he will be a bad omen for the team with Galchenyuk being fresh out of the assistance program.
Even so, it is hard to say how much lower Galchenyuk's career has fallen, as he has been relegated to the AHL in the last few years, aside from a brief stint with the Toronto Maple Leafs, in 2020.
