It's been a few weeks since the Cutter Gauthier saga broke the news after the world junior championships. The Flyers scrambled and managed to make a terrible situation better by acquiring defenseman Jamie Drysdale from the Anaheim Ducks along with a second-round pick in 2025.
Since that move, Drysdale has been settling in with the Flyers and moments ago scored his first goal on the power play as a Flyer against the Tampa Bay Lightning cutting their lead to 3-2.
The 21-year-old, was drafted in the first-round 6th overall in the 2020 Entry Draft. He was touted as up and coming star for the ducks as his second season was a breakout season having played 81 games and putting up 32 points.
With the Flyers in the middle of a rebuild, Drysdale is the perfect fit for the Flyers defense. He'll help on their power play and give them another weapon to work with as he holds a great shot on the point.
Through six games, he has scored one goal with two assists for three points.
