Philadelphia Flyers show their true colors in statement to fans

Not only have they put out a product on the ice that is watchable, shows effort, and now has a chance at a playoff appearance. But they have communicated with fans the whole time.

The way they handled the Cutter Gauthier trade was something Flyers fans have never seen and almost re-instilled a sense of pride inside the organization and their fans. The latest statement issued by the Flyers has their fans continuing to be impressed by the change in leadership style this season.

As the trade deadline approaches and the Flyers become a team involved in many rumors, the Flyers want to assure their fans that they are sticking to their process and laying a foundation to be great for the future.

John Tortorella said this in an interview last week that Flyers fans shouldn't get too attached to players who could potentially be dealt at the deadline. With the front office echoing this sentiment, it seems the Flyers are sure to make a move.

The team also announced in their statement that they will be raising season ticket prices. Although they are raising prices, taking the time to be transparent and announce that to their fans is something that not many teams in hockey and in all of sports do.
