Earlier this week, Anthony Di Marco of The Fourth Period reported that the Flyers could be open to trading All-Star player Kevin Hayes. The center has 10 goals and 36 points in 41 games, which is not bad, especially on a team like Philadelphia. Although he scores a lot of points, his lack of consistency this season has been criticized. Hayes is known for his ups and downs.

Even though the Flyers forward has a $7.142 million contract for the next four years, Anthony Di Marco said there would be a market for him if he was available, and also stated he is. As of now, Hayes contract includes a no-trade list for 12 teams.
The Fourth Period Reporter speculates that the Colorado Avalanche could be a perfect destination for the 30-year-old center. Hayes could solidify Colorado's position at the center position. Kevin Hayes would be an upgrade to centers like J.T. Compher, Darren Helm and Ben Meyers. If such a trade were to come to fruition, the Flyers would likely have to retain some salary in the transaction.
