Former Flyers defenseman Mark Friedman has been fined $2,000 for embellishing during a recent game against his former team. During the game, Friedman took a little whack from Travis Konecny, which he shamefully exaggerated to draw a penalty. Funnily enough, this was a penalty..

This type of behavior is frowned upon by the league and has resulted in a fine for Friedman, who had previously received a warning for diving in a game against Detroit on December 28th.
While embellishment is not uncommon in hockey, it is important for players to remember that it is against the rules and can result in penalties or fines. In this case, Friedman's actions not only drew criticism from fans and players alike but also cost him a hefty amount of money.
