NHL Team to Fire Head Coach and Name Former Flyer as New One
The Vancouver Canucks and Bruce Boudreau, their current head coach, have not had the greatest of starts to the new season.
The Canucks are currently in second-to-last place in the Pacific Division and are ranked 29th out of 32 teams in the NHL standings, slightly behind the Anaheim Ducks, after 16 games with a record of 4-9-3.
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman was recently questioned about the Canucks' issues, asking who should take responsibility: the coach or the players. What actions must be taken?
The Canucks will fire Boudreau, according to Friedman; at this point, the only question is when Rutherford, the team's general manager, will really act.

In addition, according to Friedman, the Canucks may already have a coach in mind; it is only a matter of "when," not "if," they will fire current head coach Bruce Boudreau, and possibly add this former Philadelphia Flyers into their coaching staff.
