Incase you missed it a member of the New York Islanders Defenseman Sebastian Aho was stop by police in his home country of Sweden.
Aho was then arrested by police while driving under the influence, however after paying a $3,769 dollar fine and his license temporarily suspended Aho was released.
Former NHL'ER Claude Lemieux who represents Aho as a agent would comment:
Must read on FlyersInsider
He was drinking the night before,
he had no idea he would still be over the limit by the next morning and felt 100 percent, but unfortunately he made a mistake and he is very sorry!
Aho's boss Gm Lou Lamoriello also obviously found out and released a statement;
We were made aware immediately of the situation regarding Sebastian Aho. We have a copy of the police report indicating that he registered a 0.03 blood alcohol content, which is .01 over Sweden's legal limit of .02. - Lou Lamoriello
Sebastian apologizes for his mistake and as an organization we will work with him to make sure this never happens again.
