The Flyers organization has a well-established history of being a tough team, known for its brawn and lack of fear when it comes to fighting.

Typically, they roster a squad with a few players of this type to protect the rest of the team. This season, with many rookies and younger players on the team, the Flyers have several players who fit this description, including defenseman Nick Seeler and Nic Deslauriers.
Known for his toughness, Deslauriers has spent the last two seasons with the Flyers, providing them with everything they've asked for in that capacity. He was drafted by the LA Kings in the third round, 84th overall, in 2009. The Flyers mark his fifth organization, having previously played for the Sabres, Canadiens, Ducks, and Wild.

He has played 598 games, scored fifty goals, recorded 49 assists for 99 points, and accumulated 671 penalty minutes. He added another 5 minutes to his penalty tally during the Flyers' recent game against the San Jose Sharks when he faced off with Sharks right winger Givani Smith.
The two heavyweights sized each other up and engaged in one of the best fights in a long time. Deslauriers had the upper hand and demonstrated to Smith how to get the job done with several blows to the head and face.
The Flyers' next game is scheduled for Friday, November 10th, when they will meet the Anaheim Ducks as part of their West Coast road trip. The game will start at 10:00 PM Eastern.
