Ottawa Senators Looking Two Lock Up Two RFA'S Before Training Camp

The Ottawa Senators General Manager Pierre Dorion has made some huge changes this off-season signing of of the Best Philadelphia Flyers players off all time Claude Giroux and acquiring Alex DeBrincat from a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Dorion's next goal is two sign restricted free agents
defenseman�Erik Brannstrom�and forward�Alex Formenton�to be signed before training camp as talks continue with their agents.�
Both restricted free agents coming off their entry-level contracts, the Senators currently have $7.9 million in cap space with Brannstrom and Formenton the only players left unsigned.

Brannstrom, 22, spent the majority of the season in the NHL with Ottawa, registering 14 assists in 53 games. In nine games with the AHL's Belleville Senators, he had a goal and two assists.�Brannstrom was originally drafted 15th overall by the Vegas Golden Knights at the 2017 NHL Draft but was acquired by the Senators in the Mark Stone trade back in in 2019.

Formenton, was drafted in the 2nd round 47th overall by the Senators also in the 2017 NHL Draft. Formenton had 18 goals and 32 points in 79 games last season with Ottawa. The 22-year-old has 23 goals and 39 points in 109 career NHL games
