Peter DeBoer continues to antagonize Robin Lehner

The Golden Knights aren't in a great situation. With four games to go in their season, the team is at 2 points of the 8th place in the West, synonym of a playoff spot. They could also accede to the postseason by taking the 3rd place in the Pacific division, held by the Kings.

Vegas has 28% chance to make the playoffs. Not a good look...

Last night, Peter DeBoer's squad won 4-3 in overtime against the Washington Capitals to keep their playoffs hopes alive. However, once again, the Knights' head coach ripped starting goaltender Robin Lehner. He pulled him out of the game after making 12 saves on 13 shots, which seems kind of odd.

What were DeBoer's explanations for this decision? He wanted to switch momentum and "reset ourselves".

"We pay him to start games like this. It's the most important time of the year," said DeBoer.

It's difficult to imagine Lehner taking this well. Will he still be a Golden Knight by the start of next season? We'll see.

Let's remind that two days ago, DeBoer threw his goaltender under the bus after a poor performance.

The Golden Knights lost that game 3-2 against the Devils.
