Flyers star prospect forward Cutter Gauthier has had an amazing hockey season with Boston College and is being selected for The United States junior hockey team. The BC Eagles forward have played 26 games, and have scored fourteen goals with 14 assists for 28 points and an impressive plus 29.

According to Jamey Baskow, Gauthier was asked if he is willing to turn pro after his freshman year, to which he replied that he is undecided and he would like to finish his season and the upcoming tournament to discuss his plans with the people that are closest to him.
Given his promising future and exceptional upside, it was asked if the Flyers would be willing to move him from the wing to the center position and groom him there. The 19-year-old left winger stated that the Flyers are grooming him to become a center and that he would play wherever the coaching staff and the Flyers want him to.

If this is successful, it would be excellent news for the Flyers. Since the team already has such high scoring wingers, having Gauthier come to the center position would give general manager Chuck Fletcher a little breathing room as he tries to find another #1 center while Sean Couturier recovers.
Flyers nation will need to wait and see what Cutter has in mind for his future, whether that be with the pros or with the Boston College Eagles.
