Comcast became majority owner of Comcast Spectacor back in 1996, which diversified into a number of different businesses, including the NHL team known as the Philadelphia Flyers.
When Mr. Snider passed away in April of 2016, it was unsure on who was going to control majority ownership. Few years prior, Ed Snider announced that David Scott was going to be led Comcast Spectacor into the future, and boy what a job that was done. The Wells Fargo Center looks great, Gritty was announced, and the snacks are top notch in the Press Box. All of that being said, where is the product on the ice?
It's been said from fans everywhere, calling for the sale of the team to a new owner for new look. The captain has already been shipped out, a new coach in town, why not a new owner of the entire management team directly.
But who would be a fit buyer- well here are two?

Sinclair made a massive bet on RSNs when it purchased 21 networks from Disney in 2019 for $10.6 billion, making it the largest RSN provider.
In March, Sinclair officially rebranded the networks to Bally Sports under a deal with Bally's Corporation. That could alienate marketing dollars from rival sports betting firms, which are still spending wildly to grow brands.
But the company is positioned well to capitalize on sports wagering and sources, who wish to remain anonymous due to ongoing talks, say it's close to renewing the NBA's and NHL's local streaming rights, which will benefit their direct-to-consumer streaming model via the Bally Sports app.
In March of 2021, it was said he could not afford to buy the whole fleet- maybe find a suitable partner?
Josh Harris, the owner and founder of AGM is an interesting name who's linked to the NBC Sports Philly operation. To those familiar with his business dealings, Harris likes to explore and take risks. NBC Sports Philly could make perfect sense.
He owns the 76ers, which he purchased from Comcast-Spectator in 2011, and though separate from his personal balance sheet, Apollo purchased Verizon properties earlier this month, including Yahoo, for $5 billion.
Who would you want to see own the franchise?
