Flyers forward Travis Konecny has been having a fantastic season despite the rest of his team experiencing growing pains. He has been their offensive engine and continues to shine because of his work ethic.
During tonight's game against the Calgary Flames, his great season came to a crashing halt after taking a hit from behind against Calgary defenseman Mackenzie Weegar. Connect me was in the corner trying to collect the puck when Weegar crushed him with his thunderous hit.
After the hit connect can be seen skating off the ice under his power however in strong discomfort. There was no penalty called on the play.

Konecny did not return for the remainder of the game, the good news however is the Flyers did win 4-3.
The 25-year-old right winger has played 52 games and has scored 27 goals and 27 assists for 54 points. The Flyers ruled him to have an upper-body injury and was seen leaving the arena with his arm in a sling.
When he returns to Philadelphia, he will probably be reevaluated to determine the extent of his injury.
