There are only a few months to the 2023-2024 NHL season and THN.com will be gauging different aspects of teams, such as the pressures experienced by different personalities and the Philadelphia Flyers is among them.

There appear to be multiple Flyers on this list, but it is fortunately limited for the team since Briere must be doing an effective job of damage control.
As Carter Hart is presently on the hot seat in the NHL as he attempts to sign RFA Morgan Frost and continue the rebuild, Hart will be a valuable trade chip for Briere as he may become his next team's starting goalie in the near future. With a 2.84 GAA and a .902 save percentage in 2022-2023, Hart showed that he had improved his game. His RFA status is also attractive to most NHL GMs, and Briere could receive a good haul for him.
Scott Laughton and Garnet Hathaway occupy a couple of the warm seats. Hathaway, a recent addition in the off-season, signed a two year, $2.375 million contract, and it might just work out, or another cup contender might take him and add him to the fourth line if he doesn't work out.

On the other hand, the contract for Laughton comes in at a significantly lower cost than the other contenders, at 5 years and $3 million AAV. Having come off an excellent year, Laughton would fetch a good haul for the team, and there is a report that Briere has already turned down a 1st round pick for him.
Last but not least is Sean Courturier, who is on the Flyers' cold seat. He was a Fletcher extension at $7.75 Million AAV who recently missed the entire 2022-2023 it'd be easier to move him. If that is the case, then his salary will have to be retained in any deal that may be made to make Courturier more attractive to prospective teams.
However, the next complication Briere will have to deal with is that Courturier has an NTC, which he may waive if sent to a contender.
As of right now, Courturier remains the team's most secure player.
