Provorov issues controversial statement aimed at the Flyers
In recent days, Ivan Provorov returned to Philadelphia with the Columbus Blue Jackets.
His arrival was preceded by a callout to the team he was drafted by in 2015 and traded to the Blue Jackets this past off-season.
During this interview, he criticized the Flyers' defensive performance and said he was happy to be in Columbus with the likes of
Johnny Gaudreau and
Patrik Laine.

In addition to a tribute video and ovation from the crowd, he and the Columbus Blue Jackets lost 5-2 to the Philadelphia Flyers since his return.
I wonder if Provorov ever considered saying this to his own team (the Flyers)
Post-game interview with Provorov, he expressed disappointment with how everything went with Philadelphia.
The team had made it to the playoffs but lacked the talent to put the puck in the net and to constantly be on defense, according to him.
All the while, he enjoyed his time in the Flyers organization, despite his mixed emotions.
"A little bit of mixed feelings, mixed emotions," Provorov said ahead of Sunday night's game against his former team. "Obviously it's a little bit weird being in this building on the other side. I really enjoyed my time here, but for right now, it's kind of hard to find words. It's an emotional day."
As far back as July, he never expressed his disappointment in a way that would have enabled the team to be constructive in their approach.
Ivan Provorov saw John Tortorella and Brad Shaw at Flyers' facility after the trade in June. Both coached in Columbus and gave Provorov insight on the organization, city.
Provorov said he has good memories from his time in Philly, was disappointed but also excited for new start.
So while we feel empathy for his disappointment, he seems to be suffering the same fate lately in Columbus, after calling out the Flyers in July.
