As a rebuilding team, the Philadelphia Flyers are watching the trade markets closely.

In order to maintain a successful transformation, they seek to acquire assets or pieces desperately needed for the rebuild.
With John Tortorella at the helm, the team is just outside the playoff spot with an 11-9-1 record.
According to NHL Insider Daren Dreger, the team is open to offers at any position in light of this.

The team could lose two veteran defensemen in the coming months as well, according to Dreger.
A couple of trade chips mentioned are Sean Walker and Nick Seeler, both of whom can eat a lot of ice time. This team will continue to field interest in these two players as depth defensemen.
"I can tell you that they're interested in either becoming a wheeler or a dealer, but that's not because they're trying to sell off assets here, it's because they want to build a stronger foundation for the future," Dreger said Thursday on Insider Trading. "They're willing to listen basically on every position - not every player, but every position. They feel like they've got the assets to move.

In 19 games this season, Walkers has three goals and 10 points, and a cap hit of $2.65 Million. He is a UFA at the end of the season.
A plus-10 and four assists have also been registered by Seeler, 40, in 19 games this season. In addition to having a league minimum contract ($775K), he will also be a UFA at the end of the season.
Both could be affordable options for a contender as a depth defenseman, considering they are capable of playing 20 minutes a night.
