According to Jimmy Murphy of Boston Hockey Now, the Avalanche, Red Wings, Hurricanes, and the Kraken have joined the Bruins as the front favorites to land Horvat. Through 44 games this season, Horvat has 30 goals and 49 points this season. With the glaring hole left by Jake DeBrusk in the Bruins lineup, Horvat makes a ton of sense for the Bruins to try and acquire.
The Hurricanes also make a lot of sense after losing forward Max Pacioretty on Thursday night with another tear in his right achilles tendon. The Hurricanes and Bruins both lead their respective divisions in points, so landing Horvat will certainly increase their odds of winning the division. Time will tell to see where Horvat ends up, but buckle up because the league is about to get really busy soon.
