According to multiple reports at the end of the weekend and the beginning of this week, it was pretty clear : the Philadelphia Flyers will sign prospect Connor McClennon.
But it doesn't seem to be the case anymore. The Flyers will not hand an entry-level contract to McClennon. That means that the forward is now free and has full control on his destiny.
This news is a little bit disappointing. The Flyers' 6th round pick in 2020 has an intriguing potential. He scored 81 points in 62 games this year in the WHL with the Winnipeg Ice.
Also, the Flyers announced that they have extended Bona Fide offers to 2021 draft choices Owen McLaughlin (selected 206th overall) and Ethan Samson (selected 174th overall).
