Chuck Fletcher can thank Lou Lamoriello. It's not everyday that a coach like Barry Trotz is on the market and if there's one person that can figure out what the problems are for the Flyers, it's Barry Trotz.
In an optic where Fletcher wants to make an "aggressive retool" and remain competitive next season, Trotz is obviously the perfect candidate for the team. He already know what it takes to go all the way, and he brought an average squad like the Islanders to the Eastern Conference final twice.
According to Brandon Sommermann, Barry Trotz and Rick Tocchet are the two names at the top of the Flyers' list. Bringing Tocchet could also be an excellent idea: he knows the market as he played in Philadelphia. He also has a Stanley Cup pedigree with the Penguins (as an assistant coach).
